Terms of Service

These terms cover the AlevelApi website (www.alevelapi.com), the AlevelApi app for Android, and Paper Finder accounts. Together we call them AlevelApi. AlevelApi is provided by 9bitx LLC. By using AlevelApi you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy for the website and the app privacy policy for the app. Where our papers come from and what we can promise about them is in the disclaimer.

AlevelApi is free

Everything on AlevelApi is free. You don't pay to read, download or print papers, marking schemes or syllabuses, and nothing is for sale on the website or in the app. AlevelApi is paid for by ads.

Using the papers

You may read, download and print anything on AlevelApi for your own study, or to teach your students. You may not sell it, charge others for copies, or republish it as your own, on another website, in an app or in print. Copyright in the papers belongs to their original owners. The disclaimer explains this and how an owner can ask us to remove something.

Accounts

You don't need an account to use the website. The app asks you to sign in, and Paper Finders register an account. If you have an account:

• give your real details, and keep them up to date
• keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account
• use only your own account, and only one

You can delete your app account at any time, in the app under Settings, then Delete account, or on the Delete Account page. To close a Paper Finder account, email [email protected]. What we keep after an account is deleted is explained in the privacy policies.

What you must not do

• copy AlevelApi in bulk, for example with a script that downloads every paper, or to build a copy of it
• try to break into, overload or interfere with AlevelApi, or get around its limits
• send false, abusive or unlawful content, or spam, through any form
• pretend to be someone else, or get a reward through false accounts or false uploads
• click ads you aren't interested in, or ask others to

We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, that breaks these terms. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.

What you send us

When you send us something, such as a paper request, a problem report, a subject name you type into the app, or a paper you upload as a Paper Finder, you confirm that you are allowed to share it. You give us permission to use it to run AlevelApi, and in the case of papers, to publish them free for students. Papers from Paper Finders are reviewed and paid for under the rules on the Paper Finders page.

Ads

Ads on the website and in the app are chosen and shown by Google. In the app, saving a file to your phone may first show a short video ad, and the download starts once it has played. If no ad is available, the download goes ahead anyway. On the website, papers can be read and downloaded without watching an ad. We aren't responsible for what an ad says or for the websites it links to.

Students under 18

Many of our users are school students. If you are under 18, please use AlevelApi with the agreement of a parent or guardian. Paper Finders must be 18 or older. If you are younger, a parent or guardian can apply instead.

Our service

We work to keep AlevelApi available and correct, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or complete. We may change, add or remove features and content, or stop a part of the service. Everything is provided "as is", as the disclaimer explains. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss that comes from using AlevelApi or from relying on its content.

Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under the law where you live, including your rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters, we will also tell you on the website or in the app before it takes effect. Using AlevelApi after a change means you accept the new terms.
